About me
Ethan Heine
I grew up in a small town on the east side of Michigan called Port Huron. After high school, I attended Michigan State University (Go Green!), where I earned a degree in Communication and Business in 2020.
My passion for painting began during my time at MSU through an internship program called College Works Painting. Recognized as the #1 internship for career development by Vault Reviews, this unique program allowed college students to run their own painting businesses over the summer while learning essential business skills such as marketing, sales, project management, and customer service. During my time with College Works, I successfully managed the third-largest branch in Michigan and achieved 100% customer satisfaction—an accomplishment I’m incredibly proud of.
After graduation, I took my skills to the corporate world, working in automotive power tools and manufacturing sales. While I valued the experience, I found myself missing the personal connections and service-oriented approach that residential painting offered. Recognizing an opportunity to make a difference in Southwest Florida, I decided to take a leap of faith and pursue my dream.
That’s how Southern Edge Paint Co. was born—a company built on the foundation of exceptional customer experiences and a passion for delivering high-quality painting services.
